THE UKRAINE PROJECT

A man in safety glasses arranges blue and yellow tiles on a surface near a kiln.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 set in motion a humanitarian crisis that has created millions of refugees and an unknown number of civilian deaths.

Rows of blue and yellow rectangular tiles arranged inside a kiln.

Beaufort, SC "adopted" the Ukraine city of Ostroh, a small town in Ukraine with a population about the same as Beaufort, to provide support.

Thousands of Ukraine flag pins were made and sold for $20 each raising over $42,000 for the Help Provide Relief to Ukraine Fund of Beaufort Pride of Place.

Three people holding a display case with blue and yellow items, smiling indoors.

Gregorie Glass partnered with the Thibault Gallery to produce pins that were sold to raise funds. All profits were donated.
